How to Install CricFy TV on FireStick [v6.6, Latest Working APK]
Step-by-step guide to installing CricFy TV v6.6 on your FireStick using the Downloader app. Includes the working Downloader code, setup tips, and how to stay safe while sideloading.
Cricket season doesn’t wait for you to figure out your streaming setup. If you’ve been bouncing between sketchy browser tabs trying to catch a live match on your FireStick, CricFy TV is the app that most cricket fans land on eventually — and for good reason. It’s free, it streams live matches, and with v6.6 it’s running smoother than earlier versions I’ve used.
The catch? It’s not on the Amazon Appstore. You’ll need to sideload it, which sounds more complicated than it is. I’ve installed this on my Firestick 4K Max and walked through the same process on a Firestick Lite. The whole thing takes under five minutes once you know the steps.
To install CricFy TV v6.6 on FireStick: enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Developer Options, install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, then enter code 730116 to download the APK directly. Install it, delete the APK file to save space, and you’re streaming. The full process takes about 5 minutes.
What You’ll Need Before Starting
Nothing unusual here — just the standard setup for any sideloaded app on FireStick:
- A FireStick (Lite, 4K, 4K Max, or Fire TV Cube all work)
- An active internet connection
- The Downloader app installed (free on the Amazon Appstore)
- About 5 minutes
If you’ve never sideloaded an app before, I’d recommend reading our FireStick jailbreak guide first — it explains exactly what sideloading is and why it’s perfectly safe when you’re using trusted sources.
How to Install CricFy TV on FireStick (v6.6)
Install CricFy TV v6.6 on FireStick
9 stepsEnable Apps from Unknown Sources
From your FireStick home screen, navigate to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to ON.
This is the permission that lets your FireStick install apps that didn’t come from the Amazon Appstore. Without it, the installer will silently refuse to run.
Enable ADB Debugging
While you’re still in Developer Options, also toggle ADB Debugging to ON. Some sideloaded apps require this to run properly after installation.
Install the Downloader App
Press the Home button and go to Find → Search. Type “Downloader” and select the app by AFTVnews (it’s free). Install it.
If you already have Downloader installed, skip ahead to Step 4. If you’re missing it entirely, check our Firestick Downloader codes guide — it covers everything about using the app.
Open Downloader and Select the Home Tab
Launch the Downloader app. When it opens, make sure you’re on the Home tab (the house icon on the left sidebar). You’ll see a URL/code input field in the center of the screen.
Enter the CricFy TV Download Code
In the URL field, enter the Downloader code: 730116
Alternatively, you can type the full URL: bit.ly/fsh-downloads
Hit Go and wait. The APK file will start downloading — it’s not a huge file, so this should finish in under 30 seconds on most connections.
Install the APK
Once the download finishes, a prompt will appear automatically. Select Install and wait for the installation to complete. You’ll see a progress bar at the bottom of the screen.
Grant Required Permissions
When CricFy TV first launches, it will ask for a few permissions (storage access, network access). Allow these — the app won’t function without them.
Delete the APK File
After installation, Downloader will ask if you want to delete the APK file. Select Delete. FireSticks have limited internal storage, and keeping installer files around causes the “storage full” errors that make the device slow down over time.
Launch and Test CricFy TV
Find CricFy TV in Apps & Channels on your home screen. Open it, tap on a live stream or match, and verify that playback works before you settle in for a game.
CricFy TV v6.6: What’s Worth Knowing
CricFy TV has been around long enough that most cricket fans on FireStick have heard of it. Version 6.6 is the latest as of May 2026, and it’s a solid upgrade over earlier releases I tested. Here’s my honest take:
CricFy TV v6.6
- Free to use — no subscription required
- Live cricket streaming including international matches
- Works on FireStick Lite, 4K, 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube
- Playlist creation for organizing favorite channels
- Simple interface navigable with a D-pad
✓ Pros
- Completely free — no account, no subscription, no paywall
- v6.6 loads streams noticeably faster than earlier versions I tested
- D-pad navigation works well on the FireStick remote without needing a mouse
- Covers live international cricket plus highlights and replays
- Playlist feature lets you bookmark your favorite channels for faster access
✕ Cons
- Not on the Amazon Appstore — requires sideloading every update manually
- Unofficial app with no customer support if something breaks
- Stream quality and availability vary — some matches buffer depending on server load
- Legal status is unclear in many regions; use a VPN to protect your connection
Use a VPN With CricFy TV — Seriously
This one isn’t optional advice. CricFy TV streams content from unofficial sources. Without a VPN, your ISP can see every stream, every connection request, every match you watch. A VPN encrypts all of it — so they can’t throttle what they can’t see, and you’re not leaving a breadcrumb trail.
I’ve been running Surfshark as my daily driver for the past few months on a 500 Mbps fiber connection — averaging around 280 Mbps through the VPN, which is more than enough for HD cricket streams. The Fire TV app is in the Amazon Appstore, so there’s no sideloading involved. You just download, log in, and connect.

→Troubleshooting: If Something Goes Wrong
App won’t install: Double-check that Apps from Unknown Sources is toggled ON in Developer Options. This is the most common reason the installer fails.
Downloader code doesn’t work: Codes can occasionally expire or change. If 730116 isn’t working, try the full URL instead: bit.ly/fsh-downloads. If that also fails, check the Firestick Downloader codes page for any updated codes.
Streams are buffering constantly: This is almost always a network issue or ISP throttling. Run a speed test first (Settings → Network). If your speeds look fine, your ISP is likely throttling streaming traffic — a VPN will typically fix this immediately.
App crashes on launch: Clear the app’s cache (Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → CricFy TV → Clear Cache), then relaunch. If it still crashes, uninstall and reinstall using the same Downloader code.
Alternatives If CricFy TV Isn’t Working
CricFy TV is the most popular free cricket option for FireStick, but it’s not the only path to a live match. Here are the official alternatives worth knowing:
- Hotstar / Disney+ Hotstar — Official streaming service for IPL and international cricket. Paid subscription, but reliable and legal in supported regions.
- Willow TV — Official US cricket channel. Available as an add-on through several streaming services.
- ESPN+ — Covers some international cricket series in the US. Paid but works natively on FireStick.

Summary
CricFy TV v6.6 installs cleanly on FireStick using the Downloader app — code 730116 gets you the APK directly. Enable unknown sources first, install it, delete the APK, and you’re done. The whole process is 5 minutes if you don’t rush it.
That said: use a VPN. Surfshark is the one I’d install before you open CricFy TV for the first time — it protects your connection from the start and stops your ISP from seeing your streaming traffic. The native Fire TV app means no sideloading required on top of everything else you’ve just installed.
