How to Install Weyd APK V4 on Firestick, Android & Google TV (2026 Guide)
Step-by-step guide to installing Weyd APK V4 on Fire TV, Android, and Google TV. Covers sideloading, device activation, debrid setup, and scraper configuration.

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Look for Install unknown apps (on newer Fire OS) or Apps from Unknown Sources (on older devices). Find Downloader in the list and toggle it ON.
That’s the only setting you need to change. You’ve just told your Firestick to trust Downloader when it hands you an APK file.
Open Downloader and Enter the Weyd URL
Launch Downloader and select the URL bar. Enter the Weyd APK download URL or the short code from the installation guide you’re following. The Troypoint-referenced install guide uses the scraper source URL https://tinyurl.com/weydx — but verify you have the correct download URL for the APK itself from the guide you’re using, as short links can change.
Download the APK
Downloader will fetch the file. Wait for the progress bar to complete — don’t navigate away or press back during the download. File size is small enough that even on a slower connection it moves quickly.
Install Weyd
Once the download is complete, Downloader will prompt you to install the APK. Select Install. You may see an “installing” progress screen for a few seconds. When it finishes, select Done — not Open. Don’t open it yet.
Delete the APK File
Downloader will ask if you want to delete the APK file. Select Delete. This is not optional if you care about storage — Firestick storage is limited, and keeping installer files around adds up. The app is already installed; the APK file is just a leftover.
Activate Your Weyd Device
Now open Weyd. On the first launch, navigate to Settings → Subscription → Connect Device. The app will show you a device code or pairing screen. Open a browser on your phone or computer, go to the Weyd dashboard, log in with your subscription account, and add your device using the code shown on your TV. Once the device is linked, the app will confirm activation.
Connect Your Provider and Set the Scraper Source
Still inside Weyd’s settings, go to Settings → Accounts to connect an external provider — TorBox is commonly referenced in current install guides. You’ll be directed to authorize the provider through its own site. When that’s done, go to Settings → Scraper and set the scraper source URL if required by your setup. Once all three are in place — subscription active, device paired, provider connected — you’re ready to stream.
Installing Weyd on Android TV and Google TV
The core process is nearly identical on Android TV and Google TV devices. The only real difference is how you enable sideloading.
On Google TV (e.g., Chromecast with Google TV):
- Go to Settings → System → About → tap Build number seven times to enable Developer Options
- Then go to Settings → Developer options → enable Install unknown apps for whichever file manager or Downloader app you’re using
On Android TV (generic, e.g., NVIDIA Shield, ONN):
- Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → toggle Unknown sources ON, or enable it per-app if your build offers that granularity

“Install blocked” during APK install: You haven’t enabled Install unknown apps for Downloader yet. Go back to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and confirm the toggle is ON specifically for Downloader, not just the global setting.
Device won’t show up in the Weyd dashboard: Make sure you’re logged into the correct account in your browser. The device code shown in the app is time-sensitive — if you waited too long, go back to Settings → Subscription → Connect Device to generate a fresh code.
Content loads slowly or buffers: This points to your provider’s link quality or your network connection. A VPN can actually help here if your ISP is throttling heavy video traffic — see the section above. Also check that your scraper source is configured.
Weyd vs. Other Streaming App Options
Weyd occupies a specific niche: it’s designed for users who already have a debrid or premium provider account and want a polished Fire TV experience around it. If that’s not you, there are other paths worth knowing:
Stremio + Real-Debrid is the most direct alternative workflow. 
Stremio is available directly from the Amazon Appstore (no sideloading required), and pairing it with Real-Debrid gives you a comparable premium streaming experience without the APK install friction. If the multi-step Weyd setup feels like too much overhead, Stremio is worth looking at first.
Kodi with debrid addons is the power-user option — more customizable, more complex, and more maintenance. If you want maximum control over scrapers, sources, and metadata, Kodi on Firestick still has no real equal. But it’s not a beginner setup.
