How to Setup TorBox in Kodi, Stremio & APKs (Video Guide)
Step-by-step guide to setting up TorBox with Stremio, Kodi, and APKs on your Firestick or Fire TV. Includes API key setup, Stremio bootstrapper, and Kodi addon authorization.
I’ve been running debrid services on Fire TV devices for years — Real-Debrid, Premiumize, AllDebrid — and TorBox is the one that’s been quietly getting better. On my Firestick 4K Max, the Stremio integration especially stood out: fewer steps than I expected, and the API key setup took maybe three minutes once I stopped fighting the Silk browser (more on that in a second).

TorBox is a relatively newer debrid service with a strong pitch: no user logs, straightforward API integration, and a price point that undercuts some of the more established competitors. It supports Stremio through a bootstrapper addon, and works natively with popular Kodi addons that already have debrid settings baked in.

Real-Debrid has the larger user base and the most battle-tested integrations — if you’re just starting out with debrid, it’s still the safer default. TorBox’s edge is the Stremio bootstrapper integration and the no-logs stance, which matters if you’re privacy-conscious about what you stream.
Before You Start: The Silk Browser Problem
Here’s the thing nobody tells you upfront: the Silk browser on Firestick is terrible for anything involving copying and pasting API keys. You can log into torbox.app just fine, but when you try to copy the API key or Manifest URL to paste into Stremio or a Kodi addon — it doesn’t work cleanly.
The fix is simple: do the torbox.app part on your phone or laptop. Log in, grab your API key and Manifest URL, and type them manually into your Firestick. Yes, type them. It’s annoying once. After that, TorBox is set and you don’t touch it again.
Method 1: TorBox + Stremio on Firestick
This is the cleanest setup. Stremio handles the player interface, and TorBox feeds it premium links through an addon. The Stremio Account Bootstrapper is what connects them.

From the Firestick home screen, search for Downloader in the Amazon App Store and install it. Once installed, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to ON. Also toggle Allow apps from unknown sources within the Downloader app settings.
Install Stremio via TroyPoint Toolbox
Open Downloader and enter code 25931 in the URL/code field. This loads the TroyPoint Toolbox. Navigate to Stremio in the app list and install it. Follow the on-screen prompts and select Install when the APK downloads.
Get Your TorBox Manifest URL
On your phone or laptop, navigate to torbox.app and log into your account. Go to Integrations → Stremio Addon. Copy the full Manifest URL displayed there — this is what links TorBox to Stremio. Keep it somewhere accessible (notes app on your phone works).
Open the Stremio Bootstrapper
On your phone or laptop browser, go to bootstrapper.stremaddon.net. Log in with your Stremio account credentials.
Add TorBox as a Custom Addon
Inside the bootstrapper, find the Custom Addons section. Paste your TorBox Manifest URL into the field. Then enter your TorBox API Key (found in your account settings on torbox.app). Hit Sync to apply the configuration.
Launch Stremio and Test
Back on your Firestick, open Stremio. The TorBox addon should now appear in your addon list. Search for any movie or show — TorBox links will show up alongside other sources in the stream selection screen, typically labeled clearly. Select one and you’re streaming.

If you’re already running Kodi, TorBox slots into most modern addons in under two minutes. Umbrella, POV, The Crew, and AIOStreams all support TorBox authorization natively.

Install Your Addon
Install the Kodi addon you want to use with TorBox — Umbrella, POV, The Crew, or AIOStreams are all confirmed compatible. Each has its own installation method; follow the guide specific to whichever you’re setting up.
Navigate to Debrid Settings
Open the installed addon, go to its Settings (or Tools depending on the addon) → Accounts → Debrid → TorBox. Select Authorization or Authorize from the options presented.
Enter Your API Key
You’ll be prompted for your TorBox API key. Type it in manually — remember the Silk browser tip from earlier. Once submitted, you should see a confirmation that TorBox is authorized. Test immediately by searching for a popular movie and checking that TorBox sources appear in the stream selection.

TorBox earns the pick if you primarily use Stremio — the bootstrapper integration is cleaner than what Real-Debrid offers — or if you care about a service that explicitly doesn’t log your activity.

TorBox sources not showing in Stremio: Make sure the bootstrapper sync completed without errors. Log back into bootstrapper.stremaddon.net, verify the Manifest URL and API key are entered correctly, and re-sync. Then restart Stremio on your Firestick.
API key authorization failing in Kodi: Check that your TorBox subscription is active and on the Essential plan. A typo in the API key (especially l vs. 1, O vs. 0) is the most common culprit when entering manually on the Firestick keyboard.
