Best Downloader Codes for ONN Streaming Device (2026) — Tested & Working
I've spent two weeks testing Downloader codes on my ONN 4K Google TV box to find which ones actually work in 2026. Here's what I found.
I tested 40+ Downloader codes on my ONN 4K Google TV box over two weeks — scrolling through video descriptions, forum posts, and “best codes” lists that promise everything from “200+ apps” to “completely free movies.” Most of them were dead ends, fake redirects, or worse — broken links that sent me to ad-laden pages begging for clicks.
But a handful actually work. And more importantly, I learned why most codes break and how to find working ones when they do.
Here’s what I found after two weeks of testing.
The most reliable Downloader code for ONN and Fire TV devices in 2026 is 730116 — it consistently pulled up the right app sources during my testing. That said, codes go stale fast. Your best bet is installing Downloader from the Amazon Appstore, then checking updated lists monthly. Pair with Surfshark VPN when sideloading — it keeps your activity private and stops ISP throttling.
What I Tested For
Before diving into the codes, here’s what I actually tested — because “it works” means different things to different people:
- Code stability — Does the code load an app or redirect to a landing page?
- App freshness — When the code loaded something, was it the current version?
- Sideloading compatibility — Did the APK actually install and run on ONN’s Google TV interface?
- Ads and nonsense — How many redirects, pop-ups, or “complete this offer” pages did I hit?
- Legitimate alternatives — Is there a better method than memorizing numeric codes?
My test device: ONN 4K Google TV (the Walmart model) on a 300 Mbps connection. I tested all codes between May 5-17, 2026.
What Are Downloader Codes?
Downloader codes are short numeric IDs you enter into the Downloader app — a tool available in the Amazon Appstore — to fetch apps not listed on the official store.
Instead of typing a full URL (like troypoint.com/kodi), you just type the code (like 730116) and Downloader redirects you to the right place. It’s basically a shortcut system, popular in the Fire TV and ONN community because it saves typing with a remote.
The problem? These codes point to third-party hosting, and that hosting changes constantly. A code that worked last month might redirect somewhere else today. That’s why updated lists matter.
Best Downloader Codes That Actually Work (May 2026)
After testing 40+ codes, these are the ones that loaded legitimate app sources. I flagged the dead ones — scroll past if you just want the working codes.
| Code | App/Source | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🏆 730116 | General app sources | Working | Most reliable in my testing |
| 46836 Recommended | Surfshark VPN | Working | VPN affiliate code |
| 69555 Popular | Kodi download | Working | Standard Kodi APK |
| 32325 | Cinema HD | Intermittent | Sometimes redirects to ad page |
| 75744 Official Store | Stremio | Working | Official app |
Code 730116 — Most Reliable
This is the code I saw most consistently across forum posts and YouTube videos from 2025-2026. During my testing, it reliably pointed to a curated app source with working links.
What I tested: I entered 730116 in Downloader, selected the destination, and browsed the available APKs. The interface was clunky but functional — I found Flix Vision, several IPTV players, and the usual suspects.
Verdict: Works as of May 17, 2026. Don’t bet the farm on it long-term, but it’s the most stable code I found.
Code 46836 — Surfshark VPN
This is Surfshark’s affiliate Downloader code. It doesn’t install an app — it redirects to their download page. But if you’re going to sideload apps on your ONN, you should be running a VPN anyway.
Why it matters: Amazon and your ISP can see every app you sideload. A VPN encrypts that traffic so neither can monitor what you’re installing.
Surfshark
- Native Google TV / Android TV app
- Unlimited simultaneous connections
- Fast speeds for 4K streaming
Code 69555 — Kodi
Kodi is the Swiss Army knife of streaming on ONN and Fire TV. Code 69555 pointed me to the official Kodi download page during testing.
What I tested: Downloaded, installed, and ran Kodi on my ONN 4K. No issues — the ARM64 APK worked perfectly.
✓ Pros
- Free, open-source media center
- Works natively on ONN Google TV
- Supports Real-Debrid for premium streams
✕ Cons
- Setup takes 20-30 minutes (addons, builds)
- Many addons exist in legal gray areas
If you’re new to Kodi, I have a complete installation guide that walks through the process step by step.
Code 75744 — Stremio
Stremio is a cleaner alternative to Kodi — easier interface, simpler setup, works well with Real-Debrid.
What I tested: Installed Stremio via code 75744, linked my Real-Debrid account, and streamed a few movies. The ONN’s Google TV interface handled it fine.
Note: Stremio has an official Amazon Appstore listing, so you don’t actually need a Downloader code — just search for it. But the code works if you prefer the Downloader method.
How to Install Downloader Codes on ONN
Whether you have an ONN Google TV box or the ONN streaming stick, here’s the exact process I used:
Installing Apps via Downloader Codes on ONN
5 stepsInstall Downloader
Go to the Google Play Store on your ONN device and search for “Downloader.” Install the app by AFTVnews. It’s completely free.
Enable Unknown Sources
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Unknown Sources → toggle Downloader to ON. This lets you install apps outside the Play Store.
Open Downloader
Launch the Downloader app. You’ll see a URL/code field at the top — this is where you’ll enter codes.
Enter the Code
Use your remote to type the numeric code (like 730116) and press Go or Enter. The app will redirect to the hosted source.
Install the APK
Browse the available apps, select the one you want, and choose Download. Once the APK downloads, select Install. Done.
Alternatives to Downloader Codes
After two weeks of testing codes, I realized there’s a better way for most people. Here’s how the alternatives stack up:
| Method | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|
| Downloader Codes | Quick when you know the code | Codes go stale, redirects can be messy |
| APKTime App | Browseable interface, no codes | Still third-party, app availability varies |
| Direct APK Download | Safest for trusted apps | Clunky on remote, no curated experience |
| Official App Stores | Most reliable | Many apps not available |
For ONN Google TV specifically, I’d lean toward APKTime over Downloader codes once you’ve found the apps you want. It’s a better browsing experience when you’re not just typing one specific code.

Troubleshooting: When Codes Don’t Work
Here are the most common issues I ran into, plus how to fix them:
“App not found” or redirect to wrong page
Fix: The code’s destination host changed. Try a different code or search for the app directly via Google.
App installs but won’t open
Fix: Wrong APK architecture. ONN 4K Google TV needs ARM64 APKs, not ARMv7. If you’re not sure, check the developer’s website for the correct build.
”Install unknown apps” is grayed out
Fix: Some ONN models lock this setting. You may need to enable Developer Mode first — search “ONN developer options” in Settings.
Code keeps breaking every few weeks
Fix: This is the nature of the system. Bookmark a site that updates their codes regularly (like this one) and check back monthly.
Protect Yourself While Sideloading
Here’s something I learned the hard way: when you sideload apps via Downloader codes, your ISP can see the traffic. Not what you’re streaming — but the fact that you’re installing sideload apps.
That’s why I recommend running a VPN before you start.
Surfshark has a native Google TV app — it’s not sideloaded, so it works even when Amazon tightens restrictions. I have it on my ONN, my Firestick, and my phone. Covers everything.

→Beyond privacy, a VPN stops ISP throttling — which is often the real cause of buffering you blame on WiFi. If you’ve been fighting buffering on your ONN, read my buffering fix guide for Fire TV — same principles apply.
The Real-Debrid Factor
If you’re using Downloader codes to install streaming apps (Kodi, Cinema HD, Stremio), you’re eventually going to hit dead links and low-quality sources. That’s where Real-Debrid comes in.
Real-Debrid is a premium link service that turns garbage streams into HD streams. You plug it into Kodi, Stremio, Cinema HD — and suddenly those 480p garbage links become 1080p and 4K.
I tested it on my ONN with Stremio and the difference was immediate — 4K HDR playback where before I was stuck at 720p with constant buffering.

My Honest Take
Downloader codes are a janky but functional system — they work when they work, and they break when hosts change. If you’re on ONN and want a better long-term experience, here’s what I’d do:
- Install Downloader — it’s still the fastest way to get APKs
- Use codes for one-time installs (Kodi, Stremio, a specific IPTV player)
- Switch to APKTime for browsing — better UI, less frustration
- Run Surfshark — non-negotiable if you’re sideloading
- Add Real-Debrid — your streaming experience will transform
