This is the tricky part. Fire TV doesn’t let you change the default launcher through normal settings — Amazon wants you using their home screen. You’ll need Launcher Manager to override this.

If the HOME button still takes you to Amazon’s stock launcher, try restarting your Firestick and waiting 10-15 seconds after boot for Launcher Manager to kick in.
