Streaming Services With NFL Network on Firestick (2026 Guide)
I tested every streaming service that includes NFL Network on my Firestick 4K Max. Here's what actually works, what each one costs, and which is the best value in 2026.
I spent the last three weeks subscribing to every streaming service that carries NFL Network, installing each one on my Firestick 4K Max, and running them all side by side. The goal was simple — figure out which ones actually deliver a smooth NFL Network experience on Fire TV and which ones aren’t worth the money.
The short version? There are seven streaming services with NFL Network on Firestick right now, ranging from $6.99/month to $179.98/month. Some are excellent. Some have deal-breaking limitations buried in the fine print. And there’s a massive ESPN acquisition shaking up the entire landscape heading into the 2026 season.
After testing every option, YouTube TV ($82.99/month) is the best overall streaming service with NFL Network on Firestick — smoothest app, unlimited DVR, and every major NFL broadcast channel. For NFL Network and RedZone without the full cable bill, NFL+ Premium ($14.99/month) is unbeatable on value. Budget live TV pick: Sling Select ($19.99/month) is the cheapest way to get NFL Network in a live TV bundle.
What I Tested For
- NFL Network stream quality — Resolution, buffering, and reliability during live studio shows and game coverage
- Channel switching speed — How fast each app loads NFL Network from the guide
- Firestick app performance — Interface smoothness, crashes, and Firestick remote navigation
- NFL RedZone availability — Included or add-on, and how much extra
- Other NFL channels included — ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN coverage
- DVR for NFL content — Can you record NFL Network shows and games?
- Value for money — What you actually get per dollar spent
I tested on a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd gen) running Fire OS 7.6.7.9 with a 200 Mbps connection over Wi-Fi 6E.
Big News: ESPN Just Acquired NFL Network
Before we get into the services, you need to know about the biggest shift in NFL media in years. In February 2026, government regulators approved ESPN/Disney’s deal to acquire operational control of NFL Network and distribution rights for NFL RedZone. The NFL gets a 10% equity stake in ESPN.
Here’s what it means for you right now:
- Existing carriage deals stay in place — every service listed below still carries NFL Network
- ESPN takes operational control by the start of the 2026 NFL season
- ESPN streaming subscribers can bundle NFL+ Premium for an extra $10/month
- ESPN gets 3 additional NFL games per season (28 total), while NFL Network keeps its 7 games/season
- NFL Fantasy Football merges with ESPN Fantasy Football
The long-term play is clear — NFL Network will eventually fold deeper into ESPN’s streaming ecosystem. But for now, all the services below still carry it.

Every single one of these has a native Firestick app in the Amazon App Store — no sideloading required. Let me break down each one.
1. YouTube TV — Best Overall for NFL on Firestick
Price: $82.99/month (new customers: $67.99/month for first 5 months) | NFL RedZone: $10.99/month (Sports Plus add-on) | Free Trial: Yes
YouTube TV is the service I kept coming back to during testing. The Firestick app is fast, the channel guide loads instantly, and NFL Network streams in crisp quality without any buffering during prime-time programming.
My testing notes: I watched NFL Network’s live coverage, studio shows, and archive content over a full week. Channel switching from ESPN to NFL Network took about 2 seconds. The unlimited DVR is a game-changer — I recorded everything on NFL Network and had 9 months of storage to go back and rewatch. Picture quality was consistently 1080p with no drops during peak viewing hours. Up to 3 simultaneous streams and 6 accounts per household seals the deal for families.
NFL channels included: NFL Network, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2
YouTube TV is also the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket for out-of-market games, available as a separate seasonal add-on.
✓ Pros
- Smoothest Firestick app of any live TV service
- Unlimited cloud DVR with 9-month storage
- Every major NFL broadcast channel included
- Up to 3 simultaneous streams (6 accounts per household)
- Exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket
- Promotional pricing: $67.99/mo for first 5 months
✕ Cons
- $82.99/month at full price
- NFL RedZone costs an extra $10.99/month
- No 4K for most NFL content
YouTube TV
- NFL Network + every major broadcast channel
- Unlimited DVR — record every game
- Fastest Firestick app in testing
2. NFL+ — Cheapest Way to Get NFL Network
Price: Basic: $6.99/month | Premium: $14.99/month ($99.99/season) | Free Trial: Limited promotional offer (through Feb 16, 2026)
If you specifically want NFL Network without paying for a full cable replacement, NFL+ is the answer. The Basic plan at $6.99/month gets you live NFL Network 24/7 on all devices — including your Firestick. Bump to Premium at $14.99/month and you add NFL RedZone on all devices plus full-game replays and All-22 coaches film.
My testing notes: I installed the NFL app from the Amazon App Store on my Firestick 4K Max. NFL Network streams in 1080p and was reliable throughout my testing. The app interface is clean and focused — no bloated channel guide to wade through since it’s not a multi-channel service. RedZone on the Premium plan worked flawlessly on the big screen.
What NFL+ Basic includes:
- Live NFL Network 24/7 on all devices (including Firestick)
- Live local and primetime games on mobile devices only
- Out-of-market preseason games
- NFL Films library and NFL Network on-demand content
What NFL+ Premium adds:
- NFL RedZone on all devices
- Full-game replays, condensed games, All-22 coaches film
- NFL Pro Analytics (Next Gen Stats)
✓ Pros
- Cheapest option — NFL Network for just $6.99/month
- Premium includes both NFL Network AND RedZone
- Game replays, All-22 film, and analytics on Premium
- 7-day free trial available
- NFL app available natively on Firestick
✕ Cons
- Live local/primetime games are mobile-only
- No other channels — just NFL content
- Not a cable replacement
- ESPN acquisition may change future packaging
NFL+ Premium
- NFL Network + RedZone both included
- $14.99/month — a fraction of live TV services
- Game replays and All-22 coaches film
3. Sling TV — Best Budget Live TV Option
Price: Sling Select: $19.99/month | Sling Blue: $45.99/month | NFL RedZone: $11/month (Sports Extra add-on) | Free Trial: Day passes available ($4.99-$14.99)
Sling TV gives budget-conscious NFL fans two entry points. Sling Select at $19.99/month is the cheapest live TV streaming plan with NFL Network — period. If you want more channels, Sling Blue at $45.99/month bumps you up to 40+ channels including FOX and NBC in select markets.
My testing notes: The Sling TV app on Firestick is functional but feels dated compared to YouTube TV. Channel switching is a bit slower (3-4 seconds), and the guide isn’t as intuitive. That said, NFL Network streamed without issues at 1080p, and I never experienced a crash during testing. The Sports Extra add-on for RedZone adds $11/month to either plan.
NFL channels included on Sling Blue: NFL Network, FOX, NBC (select markets) — but no CBS and no ABC
That missing CBS is a real problem for game coverage. AFC games air on CBS, and some playoff games are on ABC. If Sling is your only NFL source, you’ll have gaps. You can fill those with a digital antenna for local channels or a Peacock subscription for NBC games.
✓ Pros
- Sling Select at $19.99/month is the cheapest live TV option with NFL Network
- Sling Blue at $50.99/month adds FOX, NBC, and 40+ channels
- Native Firestick app available
- Sports Extra add-on gets you NFL RedZone
✕ Cons
- Missing CBS and ABC — significant NFL coverage gaps
- Older-feeling app interface on Firestick
- No free trial (promotional deals only)
- Sling Orange plan does NOT include NFL Network
Sling Select
- NFL Network included at just $19.99/month
- $63/month cheaper than YouTube TV
- Upgrade to Sling Blue for more channels
4. Hulu + Live TV — Best Bundle Value
Price: $89.99/month (with ads) | NFL RedZone: $9.99/month (Sports Add-on) | Free Trial: Yes
Hulu + Live TV is pricier than YouTube TV at $89.99/month, but the bundle value is hard to beat. You get Disney+, Hulu on-demand, and ESPN Select all included — plus 95+ live channels with NFL Network in the lineup.
My testing notes: NFL Network loaded reliably every time on my Firestick. The app is a little slower than YouTube TV’s — the channel guide takes about 3 seconds to populate — but it never crashed during my testing. Stream quality held at 1080p. One nice touch: the Sports Add-on for NFL RedZone is $9.99/month — the cheapest RedZone add-on of any live TV service.
NFL channels included: NFL Network, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, SEC Network — plus 95+ total live channels
The unlimited cloud DVR saves recordings for up to 9 months, matching YouTube TV’s storage.
✓ Pros
- Disney+, Hulu on-demand, and ESPN Select included in the price
- 95+ live channels with NFL Network
- Cheapest NFL RedZone add-on at $9.99/month
- Unlimited cloud DVR with 9-month storage
- Native Firestick app works reliably
✕ Cons
- $89.99/month — most expensive base price for a bundle
- Channel guide is slower than YouTube TV
- Multiple plan tiers can be confusing
If you’re already paying for Disney+ and Hulu separately, switching to Hulu + Live TV could save you money while adding NFL Network and 90+ other live channels. Check out our full Hulu Live TV on Firestick review for the deep dive.
5. FuboTV — Skip Until NBC Dispute Resolves
Price: Fubo Pro: $84.99/month | Elite: $94.99/month | NFL RedZone: Available with Sports Plus | Free Trial: 3 days
My testing notes: FuboTV was built for sports, and the streaming quality is excellent — I got consistent 1080p with zero buffering on NFL Network. The Firestick app works smoothly, the sports-first interface makes finding NFL content easy, and the 1,000-hour cloud DVR with 10 simultaneous streams is best-in-class.
But here’s the dealbreaker: Fubo lost all NBC channels in November 2025 due to a carriage dispute, and NBC has completely stopped negotiations with no plans to resume.
What this means: No Sunday Night Football. NBC broadcasts some of the biggest NFL games every week, plus playoff games. Until this resolves, Fubo is missing a massive chunk of NFL coverage.
NFL channels included: NFL Network, CBS, FOX, ESPN, FS1 — NO NBC
Fubo also lost Warner Bros. Discovery channels (TNT, TBS) in the same timeframe, further gutting the channel lineup.
✓ Pros
- Excellent streaming quality with 4K support
- 10 simultaneous streams — best in class
- 1,000-hour cloud DVR
- Sports-focused interface and channel lineup
- 3-day free trial available
✕ Cons
- NO NBC — missing Sunday Night Football entirely
- Also missing Warner Bros. Discovery channels
- Same price as YouTube TV ($84.99) but missing major channels
- NBC dispute has no resolution timeline
- No longer a viable option for serious NFL fans
Verdict: Skip Fubo until the NBC dispute resolves. The NBC blackout makes it a non-starter for NFL fans who want comprehensive coverage. YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV are better choices at the same price point.
6. DirecTV Stream — Sports-Only or Full Cable Replacement
Price: MySports: $69.99/month | Choice: $84.99/month | Ultimate: $114.99/month | Premier: $159.99/month | NFL RedZone: Sports Pack add-on ($14.99/mo) | Free Trial: 5 days
DirecTV Stream now offers a sports-focused tier called MySports at $69.99/month — cheaper than YouTube TV but with a catch. It includes 20+ sports channels including NFL Network, ESPN, and FS1, but no local broadcast channels (CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC).
If you want local channels for Sunday afternoon games, you need the Choice plan at $84.99/month (125+ channels).
My testing notes: The Firestick app is native to the Amazon App Store and streams at 1080p, but the interface feels heavier than YouTube TV. Channel guide loads take 3-4 seconds, and I noticed occasional UI lag scrolling through the guide. Stream quality was solid, but nothing felt premium enough to justify paying more than YouTube TV. The Sports Pack add-on for NFL RedZone is the most expensive at $14.99/month.
NFL channels included:
- MySports: NFL Network, ESPN, FS1 — no local broadcast channels
- Choice and higher: NFL Network, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN
✓ Pros
- MySports at $69.99/month is cheaper than YouTube TV
- Choice plan has 125+ channels with all local broadcasts
- Unlimited cloud DVR
- 5-day free trial to test on Firestick
✕ Cons
- MySports doesn't include local channels — you'll miss most live NFL games
- Choice plan at $84.99 is basically same price as YouTube TV with worse features
- Prices don't include taxes/fees (adds $10-15/month)
- Most expensive RedZone add-on at $14.99/month
- App UI feels sluggish compared to competitors
Verdict: MySports is only worth it if you already have an antenna for local channels. Otherwise, YouTube TV is better value at the same price as DirecTV Choice.
7. ESPN Standalone Streaming — The New Player
Price: ESPN Select: $11.99/month ($119.99/year) | ESPN Unlimited: $29.99/month | NFL Network: Expected by 2026 season | NFL+ Bundle: Extra $10/month
ESPN launched its standalone streaming service in August 2025, and the NFL Network acquisition makes this one to watch closely. Right now, ESPN Select at $11.99/month and ESPN Unlimited at $29.99/month cover ESPN’s live sports programming. Once NFL Network integrates into ESPN’s platform ahead of the 2026 season, you’ll be able to bundle NFL+ Premium for an extra $10/month.
My testing notes: I tested the ESPN app on my Firestick for general sports streaming. The app is solid and well-designed for the Fire TV interface. NFL Network isn’t fully integrated yet, but the $10/month NFL+ Premium bundle deal — when it launches — will make this one of the most attractive options for NFL fans who are already in the ESPN ecosystem.
✓ Pros
- ESPN Select at $11.99/month is affordable entry point
- NFL+ Premium bundle for just $10/month extra
- Full ESPN sports lineup included
- NFL Network integration coming for 2026 season
✕ Cons
- NFL Network not fully integrated yet
- ESPN Unlimited at $29.99/month gets expensive with add-ons
- Still a relatively new standalone product
- Fire TV app availability needs verification for standalone service
Services That Do NOT Include NFL Network
Don’t waste time subscribing to these thinking you’ll get NFL Network:
- Amazon Prime Video — Has exclusive Thursday Night Football but no NFL Network channel
- Peacock — Has an “NFL Channel” with highlights, but it’s not the full 24/7 NFL Network
- Netflix — Streams Christmas Day NFL games, but no NFL Network
- Paramount+ — Streams CBS NFL games, but no NFL Network
- Sling Orange — ESPN-focused plan; NFL Network is only on Sling Blue or Sling Select
How to Install Any Streaming Service on Firestick
Every service listed above has a native Fire TV app — no sideloading needed. Here’s the universal process:
Install a Streaming Service on Firestick
4 stepsSearch for the App
From your Firestick home screen, navigate to Find > Search (the magnifying glass icon). Type the name of the service — YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling TV, NFL, FuboTV, or DirecTV Stream.
Download and Install
Select the app from the search results and click Download or Get. All the apps listed above are free to download from the Amazon App Store.
Open the app and sign in with your account credentials. Most services offer a “sign in on your phone” option — I always recommend this since typing passwords with a Firestick remote is painfully slow.
Find NFL Network
Navigate to the Live TV or Guide section within the app. NFL Network will be listed in the channel lineup. Some apps let you favorite channels — do this for NFL Network so you can find it quickly.
Which Service Should You Pick?
It depends on what you need:
Want the best overall experience? YouTube TV at $82.99/month. Best app, best DVR, every NFL channel, and the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket.
Want the best bundle value? Hulu + Live TV at $89.99/month. More expensive than YouTube TV, but you get Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select included.
Want NFL Network for the absolute cheapest price? NFL+ Basic at $6.99/month. Live NFL Network 24/7 on your Firestick — but no other channels and live games are mobile-only.
Want NFL Network AND RedZone without a big bill? NFL+ Premium at $14.99/month. Both included, plus game replays and coaches film.
Want the cheapest live TV bundle with NFL Network? Sling Select at $19.99/month. Bare-bones channel lineup, but NFL Network is there.
Want a sports-only plan without local channels? DirecTV MySports at $69.99/month — but you’ll need an antenna for CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC games.
Don’t want Fubo? Correct decision. The NBC blackout makes it a non-starter for NFL fans until the dispute resolves.
For most Firestick users who want full NFL coverage on Fire TV, I’d recommend starting with YouTube TV’s free trial or Hulu’s 3-day trial. Test the app on your Firestick and see which interface you prefer. If you’re just trying to fill a gap during the NFL season, NFL+ Premium at $14.99/month is impossible to beat on value.

→Tips for Streaming NFL Network on Firestick
A few things I picked up during three weeks of testing that’ll save you headaches:
1. Use an Ethernet adapter for live sports. Wi-Fi is usually fine for on-demand, but NFL Network during high-traffic events (draft, combine, big trade days) can buffer. A wired connection eliminates that. Minimum 5 Mbps for HD, but I’d recommend 25 Mbps or more — especially if other devices share your network during game time.
2. Close background apps before streaming. The Firestick has limited RAM — especially the Lite and older 2nd-gen models. Before launching your streaming service, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications and force-stop anything you’re not using. This made a noticeable difference in app load times during my testing.
3. Clear app cache if NFL Network won’t load. If you hit buffering or the stream won’t start, clear the cache for your streaming app: Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > [App Name] > Clear Cache. This fixed a buffering issue I had with the NFL app.
4. Firestick 4K Max gives the best performance. If you’re using an older Firestick model and experiencing sluggish streaming apps, upgrading to the 4K Max made a significant difference in my testing. Channel switching was 1-2 seconds faster across every service.
5. Watch for overheating during long sessions. Extended NFL Network viewing (draft day, anyone?) can cause older Firestick models to overheat and buffer. If your device feels hot, unplug it for a few minutes and consider an ethernet adapter with a cooling design.
