Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About. Click on your device name (Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, etc.) 7 times rapidly. You’ll see a message confirming you’re now a developer. Return to the My Fire TV menu — Developer Options is now visible.
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
In Developer Options, toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to ON. If prompted, confirm for the Downloader app specifically. I’d also recommend enabling ADB Debugging while you’re here — it makes troubleshooting easier if something goes wrong later.
Install Downloader
Return to the home screen. Go to Find → Search and type “Downloader.” Select the app published by “Aftvnews” in the Amazon App Store and click Get or Download. Open the app and grant any permission requests. Enable JavaScript in Downloader’s Settings → Advanced — this is critical for loading the toolbox page correctly.
Download Set Orientation
In Downloader, tap the search bar and enter the TROYPOINT Toolbox code: 250931 (this redirects to the most up-to-date version). Alternative codes: 730116 (FireStickHacks) or URL apps4.kinte.net if the codes redirect incorrectly. Scroll down to Utility Apps, find Set Orientation, and tap Download. When the APK downloads, tap Install.
Configure and Launch
After installation, tap Done twice and Delete the APK file (do this twice — once for the file, once for the confirmation prompt — to fully free storage). Launch Set Orientation from your apps list. In the dropdown menu, select Automatic (recommended) or Landscape if you want to force it. Tap OK.
Troubleshooting Common Set Orientation Issues

App Remains Stretched After Selection
If you selected “Automatic” but the app still looks wrong, go back to Set Orientation and manually select Landscape instead. Some apps report their orientation incorrectly, so the automatic detection fails. If that still doesn’t work, you may need the ADB fix.
Stubborn Apps That Won’t Rotate
Certain apps — mostly gaming emulators and some Kodi addons — have their rotation locked by the system. To fix this, you’ll need to run an ADB command from a computer or phone:
