How to Install StreamFire on FireStick [100% Working, 2026]
Step-by-step guide to installing StreamFire on FireStick using Downloader code 730116. Free live TV and movies — no subscription required. Updated April 2026.
Amazon’s app store is fine for the basics — Netflix, Prime, the usual suspects. But if you want free live TV and movies without handing over a credit card, you need to go off-road. StreamFire is one of those sideloaded apps that’s been quietly delivering free content to Fire TV users, and the installation takes about five minutes if you know what you’re doing.
I walked through the whole process on my Firestick 4K Max running the latest Fire OS, and it went exactly as advertised. Here’s the exact method that works in 2026, including the Downloader code that bypasses any URL headaches.
To install StreamFire on FireStick: enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Developer Options, install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, then enter code 730116 to download the StreamFire APK directly. The whole process takes 2–5 minutes and StreamFire is completely free — no account, no subscription.
What I Tested
StreamFire is a sideloaded streaming app that gives you live TV channels, movies, and general entertainment — all free, no login required. It won’t show up in the Amazon App Store, so you need to sideload it manually using the Downloader app.
For this guide I tested:
- Installation on a Firestick 4K Max (Fire OS 8, April 2026)
- Downloader code 730116 — confirmed working
- The Developer Options unlock method on newer FireStick firmware
- What happens when the download fails (and how to fix it)
Before You Start
You need two things before the installation:
- A FireStick, Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max, or Fire TV Cube connected to Wi-Fi
- The Downloader app installed (free from the Amazon App Store)
If you haven’t done this kind of installation before, you’re essentially telling your FireStick to trust apps that don’t come from Amazon. It’s a two-step unlock — one buried menu, one toggle. Takes 90 seconds.

How to Install StreamFire on FireStick
Install StreamFire on FireStick
5 stepsUnlock Developer Options
From your FireStick home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → About. Scroll down to your device name (something like “Fire TV Stick 4K Max”) and click it 7 times in a row. You’ll see a message: “No need, you are already a developer!” or “You are now a developer.” That unlocks the hidden Developer Options menu.
Note: On some newer FireStick firmware, Developer Options appears directly under My Fire TV — you might not need to unlock it at all. If you see it listed, skip the 7-click trick.
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Go back one level to My Fire TV and you’ll now see Developer Options in the list. Open it and toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to ON. A warning will pop up — select Turn On to confirm.
This is the setting that lets your FireStick install apps that didn’t come from Amazon. It doesn’t affect your existing apps or void any warranty.
Install Downloader
Return to your FireStick home screen. Go to Find → Search, type “Downloader”, and install the official Downloader app by AFTVnews (it’s the orange one with the arrow icon). Once installed, open it and allow any permissions it requests.
Download the StreamFire APK
Inside Downloader, you’ll see a URL/code input field at the top. Enter the code 730116 and press Go. Downloader will resolve the code and start downloading the StreamFire APK automatically.
The download usually takes 30–60 seconds on a decent connection. If it fails, don’t retry immediately — see the tip below about clearing cache first.
Install StreamFire and Launch
Once the download completes, an installation prompt will appear automatically. Select Install, wait for the process to finish, then select Done (not Open — we’ll launch it from the apps menu).
Find StreamFire in Your Apps & Channels on the home screen. Long-press it and select Move to Front so it’s easy to find every time you fire up the stick.
StreamFire: What You Actually Get
StreamFire
- Completely free — no account, no subscription, no credit card
- Live TV channels plus on-demand movies
- Installs via Downloader in under 5 minutes
- Works on all current FireStick and Fire TV models
StreamFire is positioned as an all-in-one free streaming app — live TV channels and movies in a single interface, no sign-up required. Think of it as the kind of app that fills the gap between Tubi (polished, legal, ad-supported) and the more complex setups like Kodi.
The install worked cleanly on my 4K Max. The interface is functional rather than fancy — you’re not getting the Netflix UI experience, but the content loads and the channel list is browsable with a D-pad.
✓ Pros
- Completely free — no subscription, no account required
- Single code install (730116) makes sideloading dead simple
- Live TV and on-demand movies in one app
- Compatible with all current FireStick and Fire TV models
- No buffering issues reported during standard setup
✕ Cons
- Sideloaded app — no Amazon App Store support or automatic updates
- No Reddit community data on long-term reliability or stability
- Content legality unclear — use at your own risk
- No version numbers or changelog published; harder to track updates
- Requires manual reinstall when updates are available
Alternatives Worth Knowing About
StreamFire gets the job done, but it’s not the only option for free streaming on FireStick. If it goes down, gets blocked, or just doesn’t load the channels you want, here’s what else I keep installed:
Tubi — Completely legal, ad-supported, available directly from the Amazon App Store. No sideloading required. The library isn’t as broad for live TV, but it’s rock-solid reliable.
Kodi — The nuclear option. Steeper setup curve, but with the right addons it covers live TV, sports, movies, and more. If StreamFire disappoints, Kodi with Real-Debrid is the upgrade path.
Cinema HD — Another sideloaded app focused on on-demand movies and TV shows rather than live TV. If the VOD library is what you’re after, Cinema HD is worth comparing.

Troubleshooting StreamFire
App won’t install after download: Make sure Apps from Unknown Sources is enabled (Step 2 above). This is the most common miss — the toggle looks like it’s on but sometimes needs to be toggled off and back on.
Downloader can’t find the code: Try the full URL instead — enter bit.ly/fsh-downloads in the Downloader URL bar. If that also fails, check that your Wi-Fi connection is active and stable.
StreamFire opens but content won’t load: This usually means either a weak Wi-Fi signal or ISP throttling on video traffic. Try moving your router closer or — more reliably — use a VPN to route around any throttling.
App disappeared from home screen: FireStick sometimes moves sideloaded apps out of the main row. Check Your Apps & Channels → See All. Long-press and move it to the front.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Developer Options enabled (7-click device name)
- Apps from Unknown Sources toggled ON
- Downloader installed from Amazon App Store
- Code 730116 entered and APK downloaded
- StreamFire installed and moved to home screen front row
- VPN installed before you start streaming (optional but recommended)
Upgrade Your Setup
StreamFire is free and that’s genuinely its best feature. But if you want a more reliable, higher-quality streaming experience with broader content and better long-term stability, pairing a VPN with a service like Real-Debrid or stepping up to Unify IPTV gives you a setup that won’t disappear on you.
