I’ve sideloaded more APKs onto Fire TV devices than I can reasonably count — and Streamflix Reborn is one of the ones that actually earns its install time. It’s a free third-party app that scrapes movies, TV shows, and anime on demand: no account, no subscription, no Amazon Appstore. The catch is you have to sideload it yourself, and you should have a VPN running before you open it for the first time. To install Streamflix Reborn on Firestick: install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, enter code 250931 (TROYPOINT Toolbox, select StreamFlix Reborn → TV Version) or 730116 (FirestickHacks direct), download and install the APK, then delete the file. What I Tested On — and One Compatibility Warning
I ran Streamflix Reborn on a Firestick 4K Max (Fire OS 8) and an Android phone. Before anything else: if you have a Fire TV Stick Select, stop here. What Is Streamflix Reborn?
Streamflix Reborn is a free APK built on scrapers: it pulls movie and TV links from across the web and organizes them using metadata from sources like TMDb. Think of it as a universal front-end for free streaming links, with an anime library thrown in.
The “Reborn” label matters — the original Streamflix went through some downtime, and this version is the 2026 revival, updated for current Firestick firmware. You won’t find it in the Amazon Appstore or Google Play. It’s sideload-only, which is why you need the Downloader app or a direct APK download depending on your device.
Out of the box it uses free scrapers, which work — inconsistently. Pair it with Real-Debrid and the experience improves dramatically. I’ll cover that integration below.
Before You Start: Two Things You Need
1. A VPN. Your ISP can see traffic from sideloaded apps — and without encryption, streaming through scrapers is visible to anyone monitoring your connection. From your Firestick home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → About. Using your remote, click on your device name — “Fire TV Stick” or similar — seven times in a row. You’ll get a message confirming Developer Options are now unlocked. Seven clicks, same button. That’s it.
Allow Apps from Unknown Sources
Go back one level to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Find Apps from Unknown Sources and toggle it ON specifically for the Downloader app. This tells your Firestick it’s okay to install apps that didn’t come from Amazon. It sounds scarier than it is — you’re not breaking anything.
Install the Downloader App
Return to the home screen and search for “Downloader” in the Amazon App Store. It’s the orange icon from AFTVnews. Install it, open it, and allow any permissions it requests on first launch — it needs storage access to save the APK file.
Enter the Download Code
Inside Downloader, tap the URL/search field and enter one of these codes:
- 250931 — TROYPOINT Toolbox (navigate inside to StreamFlix Reborn → TV Version)
- 730116 — FirestickHacks direct download
Tap Go. The TROYPOINT code (250931) opens a toolbox menu where you select Streamflix Reborn from a list — this is the more current method. The FirestickHacks code goes straight to the APK. Both work; just verify the code is still active before you rely on it, since APK shortcodes rotate.
Install the APK and Delete the File
Once the file downloads, Downloader will prompt you to install it. Tap Install. When the install finishes, tap Done — not Open. Then go back into Downloader and tap Delete to remove the APK file. No reason to keep a 30-60MB file sitting on your Firestick’s limited storage.
Connect VPN, Then Launch
Connect your VPN before you open the app for the first time. Then find Streamflix Reborn — if it didn’t appear on your home screen automatically, go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications and launch it from there. On first launch, grant any storage permissions it requests, choose a provider (start with TMDb English), and you’re streaming.

Select a Provider and Start Streaming
Open Streamflix Reborn. On first launch, select your provider — TMDb English is the default. If links aren’t loading after a couple of minutes, go into the app settings and switch providers. Not all scrapers are active at all times.

The free scrapers work, but they’re inconsistent — especially for newer releases or anything in 4K. Real-Debrid is a link-unlocking service that costs around $3-4/month and makes a noticeable difference in stream quality and link availability.

Known Issues and Fixes
Buffering constantly? Switch providers inside the app first — TMDb English is the default but it goes down frequently. If buffering continues after switching, check your connection: 25 Mbps is the floor for consistent streaming, 50+ Mbps for reliable 4K. App won’t install? Double-check that you enabled Unknown Sources specifically for the Downloader app. Some Firestick firmware versions require the per-app toggle, not just a global setting.
